Macroscopic Features |
Cylindrical, often pressed flat and wrinkled, intact specimens are similar to a snake, up to more than 1m long. Back is silver-gray or pale grayish-brown, lustrous, scale marking is diamond or oval shape, and appear white where they come together, slightly wrinkled or indented; abdomen is milky-white or slightly yellow, scale marking is rectangular shape, in tile-like arrangement. Light in weight, slightly pliable texture, smooth and flexible feeling when twisted by hands, produces a rustling sound when slightly rubbed. Slightly fishy odor, tasteless or slightly salty taste. |
