The black mica schist or a chabonate schist of chlorite mica (a metamorphic rock). |
Production Regions |
Primarily produced in the Chu'nan region of Zhejiang, as well as Hunan and Hubei. |
Macroscopic Features |
Scale-like or flake-like aggregate lumps. Irregular flat flake-like or long oblique lumps, no obvious ridges. Brownish-black or greenish-black, with glass-like luster. Soft texture, easily broken, fractured surface is obviously layered. Powder is often greenish-black scales (black mica), with star-like shiny luster. faint odor, tasteless. |

Functions |
Downbears phlegm and qi, calms liver, settles fright. Apply to chronic phlegm stasis, coughing and panting, epilepsy, irritability and chest tightness, and convulsion. Often produced in pills. |
