Macroscopic Features |
Stem is cylindrical, upper portion often has branches, 30~80cm long, 0.2~0.6cm diameter, externally yellowish-green or brownish-yellow, with longitudinal ridges, slightly hard texture, easily broken, fractured surface center has pith. Alternating leaves, dark green or brownish-green, curled, crushed; intact leaves are triple pinnate with deep cracks after being flattened, lobes and small lobes are square round or long elliptical, both sides covered short hairs. Distinctively aromatic odor, slightly bitter taste. |
