Macroscopic Features |
Oval or bottle-like ovoid shape, often broken into flat pieces, 1.5~5cm diameter, 3~7cm long. Externally yellowish-white, pale brown to pale purple, smooth, slightly lustrous, with longitudinal or horizontal scar from cutting. Apex has 6~14 radially arranged round disc-like remnants of stigma; base has short stem. Light in weight, brittle texture. Inner surface is pale yellow, slightly lustrous. Longitudinally arranged pseudoseptum, brownish-yellow, upper portion densely covered with verrucous small brown spots. Slightly aromatic odor, slightly bitter taste. |
