Macroscopic Features |
Numerous branches, small twigs relatively flat, scale-shape. Externally reddish-brown. On the outer surface, Leaves in an opposing arrangement can be seen; the fractured surface is yellowish-white. Brittle texture, easily broken. Stem and twigs are slightly cylindrical, reddish-brown; twigs are flat, 1~2mm diameter. Leaves are thin and small, scale-like, and opposing, and adhere to the twigs; dark green or yellowish-green. Clear and aromatic odor; taste is bitter and astringent and slightly acrid. |
