Cross Section

Phellem contains numerous rows of cells. Phelloderm is narrow. Outer side of phloem has cracks, parenchyma cells on inner side are relatively dense, having scattered resin canal with yellow secretion. Cambium is circular. Xylum ray is wide, ducts are scattered singularly or gathered numerously, intermittently arranged in rays. Parenchyma cells contain calcium oxalate clustered crystals.
