Description |
Perennial herbs. Has strong odour. Bulb large, spherical, wrapped by red involucra, leaves cylindrical, hollow, 25-50cm long, diameter 1-1.5cm; green, with white powder. Scapes up to 1cm, cylindrical, hollow; umbels spherical, numerous flowers, dense. Peduncles long; flowers stellate expanded, green-white, tepals 6, oblong; filaments longer than perianths, inner layer whorled base extremely expanded, outer layer whorled basiconic. Capsules, chambers cracked at the back, with numerous seeds. Seeds black, flat. Flowering: June to July. |

Examples |
Trichomonas vaginitis: fresh onion and celery of equal amounts. Mash into mud, take juice, add vinegar, and dip some to plug into vagina before sleeping, and pick out in the next morning. |
