Description |
Climbing shrubs. Usually climbing on other things with hooked common peduncle. Leaves alternate; leaves papery, oblong or wide lanceolate, 6-16cm long, 2.5-6cm wide, apex acuminate or acute, base cuneate. 1-2 flowers, borne on woody hooked common peduncle, pale green or pale yellow, aromatic; calyx 3, green, ovate, ca. 8mm long; petals 6, 2 layers, oblong-lanceolate, 3-4.5cm long, near base contractive; stamens numerous, clingy, connective triangular; carpels numerous, oblong, each with 2 ovules, stigma linear-oblong. Fruits ovate, 2.5-4cm long, numerous. Flowering: May to August. Fruiting: May to December. |
