Description |
Woody herbs or subshrubs. Young branches covered with dense curly hairs. Upper leaves nearly margin entire; coarse hairs above leaves, hairs or with glands below leaves; middle leaves oblong or oblong-lanceolate, 2-5.5cm long, base gradually narrows or suddenly narrow, petioles short, margin entire or upper part with sparsely small cusp-shaped serration; lower leaves spoon-shaped-oblong, up to 10cm, upper part with sparse serration. Capitulums diameter 1.5-2cm, arranged to conic-corymbose on branch end, or solitary on short branches, peduncles short; bracts dense on peduncle end, extremely fine; involucres inverted-basiconic, 5-7mm long, involucral bracts imbricately arranged, 4-7 layers, outside layer ovate, inside layer oblong-lanceolate, back or upper part with dense hairs, margin with tricholoma, dry membranous; ligulate flower tube 3mm long, tongues white, 5mm long; tubular flower 6mm long, tube 3mm long, with micro-hairs, lobes up to 2mm; pappus 1 layer, white, with micro coarse hairs. Achenes slightly flat, narrow oblong, with dense hairs, sometimes with ribs on both sides. Flowering: July to October; fruiting: August to November. |
