Dried and powdered were extracted with Me2CO three times
The gummy residue was subjected to column chromatography over DM-130 porous resin and eluted with MeOH: water = 5:5 to 9:1 and partitioned between water and ethyl acetate. Ethyl acetate part was subjected to column chromatography and eluted by petroleum ether and Me2CO of increasing polarity. Six fractions were combined and collected.
The second fraction was chromatographed over silica gel by using cyclohexane: EtOAc = 85: 15 and Sephadex LH-20 (chloroform: MeOH = 1: 1) to get targeted compound.
